Product Sourcing & Authenticity

This page explains where our stock comes from, how we keep counterfeits out, and exactly what our relationship is to the brands we sell.

We are an independent retailer

GoviLoop is a reseller. We are not a manufacturer, and unless a product page explicitly states otherwise, we are not an authorised dealer, licensee or agent of the brand named on the item. Brand names and model numbers appear on our listings for one reason only: to identify what you are buying. They do not imply that the brand endorses, sponsors or is affiliated with GoviLoop.

Where stock comes from

We buy from United States based wholesale distributors and manufacturer representatives who supply the retail trade. Every purchase arrives with an invoice that names the supplier and the quantity, and we keep those invoices for the life of the stock. We do not buy from consumer marketplaces, liquidation lots of unknown origin, or private sellers.

How we keep counterfeits out

  • Supplier vetting. A new supplier has to show a business registration and a traceable purchase chain back to the brand owner or its national distributor before we place a first order.
  • Goods-in inspection. Every delivery is checked against the packing list. We compare barcodes, model numbers, packaging print quality, welds and finish against the manufacturer’s published specification.
  • Barcode verification. The GTIN printed on each unit is checked against the manufacturer’s published identifier. Anything that does not verify is quarantined and returned to the supplier, and we stop buying that line.
  • Weight and load checks. Cast iron and loadable equipment is spot-weighed on arrival. A kettlebell sold as 20 lb has to weigh 20 lb within the manufacturer’s stated tolerance or the batch is rejected.

If you ever receive something you believe is not genuine, e-mail support@goviloop.com. We will collect it at our cost, refund you in full, and pull the batch from sale while we trace it.

Products sold under our own name

Some items are sold as GoviLoop-branded goods. Those are made to our specification by contract manufacturers and are not copies of, or alternatives to, any other company’s product. Where an item is a generic type of equipment rather than a branded model — a cast-iron kettlebell, a cotton lifting strap — the listing says so and names the actual manufacturer where one is stated on the goods.

Product identifiers

Where a manufacturer has assigned a GTIN (the UPC or EAN barcode number), we publish it on the product page and use the same number in our product feed. The GTIN on the listing is the number printed on the goods you receive. Where a product genuinely has no manufacturer-assigned GTIN, we say so rather than inventing one.

Product images and copy

Product descriptions on this site are written by us. Photography is either taken by us, supplied to us with permission for retail use, or licensed stock imagery that we hold a commercial licence for. Where a photograph shows a representative unit of a generic product type rather than the exact unit you will receive, that is noted on the listing. Specifications quoted from a manufacturer’s data sheet are attributed to that manufacturer.

Quality control after the sale

We track every return reason. If a line comes back for the same fault more than twice we stop selling it and go back to the supplier. That is the whole reason our range is deliberately narrow.

Report a concern

Brand owners and customers can raise an authenticity, trademark or listing concern with us directly at info@goviloop.com. We acknowledge these within one business day and will take a listing down while we investigate.
